Hi, I am Helen, trading as ‘A Basing Bakes’.  I have always loved baking and cooking and I particularly enjoy experimenting with new ideas and flavours.  A few years ago I decided to set up ‘A Basing Bakes’ from my home kitchen in Basingstoke, initially supplying cakes and tray bakes to local cafes.

My gluten free range became very popular which lead to my decision, 3 years ago, to concentrate primarily on gluten free baking.  Since then I have expanded the range of gluten free products I produce and now have a kitchen dedicated exclusively to gluten free production.

After a degree of experimentation, pastry items are now my best selling range, and in 2015 I was awarded 2 Stars in The Great Taste Awards, by the Guild of Fine Food, for my Goats Cheese & Spinach quiche.  My pies are stocked by several pubs and cafes in the area.
